{"id":1008261,"date":"2021-08-03T11:05:38","date_gmt":"2021-08-03T15:05:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/explorationpuma.com\/?p=1008261"},"modified":"2023-11-14T19:24:27","modified_gmt":"2023-11-15T00:24:27","slug":"puma-exploration-signs-memorandum-of-understanding-mou-with-pabineau-first-nation-new-brunswick-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/explorationpuma.com\/en\/puma-exploration-signs-memorandum-of-understanding-mou-with-pabineau-first-nation-new-brunswick-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Puma Exploration Signs Memorandum Of Understanding (Mou) With Pabineau First Nation, New Brunswick, Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rimouski, August 03<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2021 <\/strong>\u2013 Puma Exploration Inc., PUMA-TSXV, (the \u201cCompany\u201d or \u201cPuma\u201d) is pleased to announce the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pabineau First Nation \u2013 Oinpegitjoig L\u2019Noeigati (PFN) to collaborate on mutually beneficial initiatives in mining exploration in the traditional territory of Pabineau First Nation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The objective and intent of both parties, in forming this working relationship, is to complement each other\u2019s strengths and combine skill sets that will benefit the group as a whole and pursue projects useful to both Pabineau First Nation and Puma Exploration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to be entering into an MOU with Puma Exploration to identify and pursue opportunities related to the mining exploration sector,\u201d said Chief Terry Richardson, Pabineau First Nation. \u201cOur community is eager to benefit from the jobs and economic prosperity this new industry will bring to the province.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven that the project is still at an early stage of exploration, it was the best time to initiate discussions and dialogue with the local first nations and surrounding communities to build a long-term, friendly and peaceful relationship,\u201d commented Marcel Robillard, Chief Executive Officer, Puma Exploration. \u201cPuma understands the importance of engaging First Nations on their traditional territory and looks forward to more engagement as the project progresses,\u201d added Mr. Robillard.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The MOU will remain in force and effect for one year, and will continue to be renewed year-to-year unless terminated by one of the signatories.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT PABINEAU FIRST NATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pabineau First Nation is a progressive Mig\u2019maq community located along the beautiful Nepisiquit river near Bathurst, New Brunswick.
